| BWe are not your
typical design firm. We make things in metal, plastic, glass and
wood to create prototypes and build short product runs and to
create unique works of lighted art. Here are just a few of the

Plastic
Modeling
Dimension bst 1200es |
The Dimension bst1200es is a 3D
Plastic modeler that utilizes fused deposition modeling
processes to create UL94 HB ABS plastic parts that can be used
in finished products and rigid working prototypes. |
CNC Machining
Tormach PCNC1100 S2
|
The Tormach PCNC is a CNC machining
center particularly well suited for use in machining short run
prototype and small batch parts in aluminum, steel, stainless
steel and plastics. |
|
South Bend 10K
Lathe |
This fully restored tool-room lathe
from 1967 is loaded with tooling to produce rotary machining,
threading, and ball turning in all metals and plastics. |
|
Smithy CX329
Mill, wood lathes, and other drilling equipment |
A manual mill, two drill presses and
12" x 48" wood lathe round out the milling, drilling and soft
material turning capabilities necessary to create metal, plastic
and wood parts, and provide opportunity to set up short batch
runs in a continuous process.

|
Sheet metal
cut, notch, roll and break forming |
With a package of sheet metal shear,
notcher, roll former, break, box/pan break, and punching tools,
we can fabricate the sheet metal parts most lighting products
include for brackets, optics, and exterior housings. |
Welding and
Soldering
MiG, TiG, Gas |
With a full compliment of TiG, Wire
feed MiG, and Acetylene Gas welding, we can fuse any metal into
finished form. |
|
Powder Coat
and Anodizing |
Set up to finish small components up
to 18"x 18" x 18", we can powder coat and anodize finished
parts. Larger orders are sent to our pre-qualified vendors for
finishing. |
|
Glass Fab,
Forming and Fusing |
We can cut, slump, mold, and fuse
glass in small scale (7" x 7" x 4") to suit decorative and
optical needs. |
|
SSL, Optics
and Electronics Prototyping |
Using our connections with experts
in electronics, optics, and LED prototyping, we can requirements
for these needs and integrating the work with physical product
components as needed. |
